Project Overview

Woody Ridge Farm is a cannabis farm in Humboldt County, CA. They focus on high-quality products and specialize in rare cultivars and landrace genetics from Africa.

We worked with the founder and owner, Dave Dickinson, to create a brand for the company and implement designs across a range of brand touchpoints including: packaging design, infographic design, editorial and product photography, marketing material and more.

About the Logo

Woody Ridge Farm is situated on a hillside in Southern Humboldt. They cultivate both in native soil as well as using “dep” techniques for rotational harvests. We represented these core qualities of the farm to create the logo for the brand. The angle, a representation of the hillside, the light rays and shaded section a representation of the dep process fo growing, and finally, a gold circle to represent the gold standard in quality that Woody Ridge Farm upholds in their process and products.

Light Deprivation Cultivation creates artificial lighting conditions for cannabis plants to control growth (veg) and flowering stages of the plant’s life cycle. Full sun plants are grown in a nine month growing season.
